Change the style of chess pieces and colour of chess board

By far and away our most requested feature from players has been the ability to choose their own design chess set. Today we finally released this feature!

1. Feature: Customize your chess pieces (54 different ways)

There are 2 ways to choose your own combination of chess pieces and board color.

The first is in your Account settings, under Game preferences. You can select from 6 different Board styles and 9 different Piece styles. When you save your account settings you will need to reload the page before the game is updated.

The second is from any Lobby or Game page. Click your name or avatar in the notification bar to view your options. Select Game preferences from the drop down menu.

The Game preferences window will open up above your chess board. You can select your combination of Board style and Piece style as well as modify your premove or auto-queen settings. Saving these changes will update your game board immediately, no refreshing of the page is needed. You will also be able to see a preview of your choices before saving.

First of all, congratulations for the diversification of the options regarding the game board and the pieces. It’s a weird thing on the game board. I don’t know why this feeling exists. The pieces are too big for the size of the squares. Or only the pawns are too big in relation to the size of the pieces.
